ALFI FireHotTub Wood-Fired Portable Outdoor Hot Tub

There is no pump, no heater element, no electrical hookup, and no plumbing. You fill this tub from a garden hose and light a wood fire in the built-in pit at its center.

The physics do the rest. Water circulates through metal coils wrapped around the fire basket, warming as it moves and returning to the tub. The basket raises and lowers to control the temperature — closer to the water for more heat, further away for less. Two to three hours brings it to soaking temperature in ordinary weather, longer when it's cold, and you feed the fire as you like.

It holds four people and needs at least 130 gallons to begin circulating, up to 220 gallons filled. Extended pipes and a stainless steel windscreen keep the flame away from where you're sitting. A heavy-duty cover comes with it, both to protect the tub between uses and to shorten the heating time.

The shell is high-quality acrylic over a fiberglass core, with flat feet for stability and four built-in handles, so it can be moved rather than installed. It is genuinely portable — a tub for a garden, a lake house, a clearing at the edge of a property.

Available in orange or olive green.
